Serialization

As the DSCSA approaches its 10-year implementation mark, most pharmaceutical companies have already deployed track-and-trace systems on their lines to become compliant. However, two scenarios are now pushing companies to consider upgrading their equipment: 1- aged systems, 2- labor shortages. Both result in pharma players searching for more automated solutions, which help increase performance and minimize errors.

At OPTEL, we offer track-and-trace systems that run up to 300 products per minute (ppm). The solution selection will depend, of course, on various production line characteristics. The following variables will need to be considered in order to decide which solution is suitable to each production line:

  • available space in your production area
  • packaging line speed
  • size(s) of the packages
  • design and material of the packages
  • where codes must be printed
  • budget
