WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN VERIFY PLATFORM AND OPTCHAIN VERIFY?
Optchain Verify is the new name for Verify Platform. It comes with many new features and an improved user experience.
The main difference is a much better integration with other products in OPTEL’s growing portfolio, including the new Optchain (hence the name and UI convergence) and more established products such as OSM and LineMaster. We felt the new name better reflects this compatibility and ease of integration.
Optchain Verify also gives us the opportunity to introduce new technology to facilitate and accelerate compliance with emerging regulations as well as to help you better connect with your trading partners.
WHY SHOULD I UPGRADE TO OPTCHAIN VERIFY?
The regulations our clients need to comply with are constantly evolving. This new version incorporates the latest updates as well as the latest trends to remain compliant with current regulations as well as to accelerate compliance with future requirements. This version is also our most reliable and user-friendly version to date.
WHAT ARE THE NEW FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITIES?
You will find a comprehensive list of functionalities in the release notes, but in a nutshell, this version is DSCSA ready and includes a completely revamped verification module. It also provides more and smarter APIs to improve connectivity with ERPs and other systems.

At OPTEL, we let you decide when you get an update. You remain in the driver’s seat all the way! Simply tell us when you would like to make the switch.
WOULD THE CLIENT REQUIRE ANY FORM OF GUIDANCE/TRAINING?
We work very hard to make our software as intuitive as possible, and we believe you will be able to learn it and use it in no time at all. That being said, we have a new training program that includes remote learning, and we will always be there to support you so you get the most out of Optchain Verify.
WHAT IS THE EXACT DATE TO SWITCH FROM THE OLD NOMENCLATURE TO THE NEW ONE WITH CLIENTS?

With OPTEL, you choose when to upgrade. It is your data to control; we only facilitate it and enable you to make the most of it. This new version is full of new added value:

HAS OPTCHAIN VERIFY BEEN FULLY TESTED?
For the past 18 years, Verify has passed the most stringent validation, audit and certification processes. This product is subject to a complete automated regression test on a daily basis as well as additional internal and external tests and validations.
HOW LONG WILL THE UPGRADE TAKE?
Upgrades are specific to the user and vary depending on the number of connections and locations.
WILL THE UPGRADED VERSION HAVE A HIGHER LEVEL OF SECURITY?
Optchain Verify is now SOC 2 compliant. It includes the most up-to-date and secure processes and practices.
IS THIS PART OF OPTEL’S NEW OPTCHAIN SUITE?
Optchain Verify provides serialized traceability, which can be used by Optchain. Optchain and Optchain Verify are complementary, with Optchain providing actionable insights on various aspects of the supply chain based in part on the serialized data.
WOULD I BE REQUIRED TO BE AT A CERTAIN VERSION OF VERIFY TO UPGRADE TO 23.1?
You can upgrade to 23.1 regardless of your current version.
IS THERE A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE UI AND UX OF 23.1 AND PREVIOUS VERSIONS?
OPTEL continually strives to improve the user experience, so we’ve included several improvements to the UI in this new version. We have made great efforts to ensure continuity, however, which means that with the exception of the color scheme, the changes are not radical. Because we are always trying to improve, we welcome any and all suggestions from our user community.
WILL SUPPORT FOR OLDER LEGACY VERSIONS CONTINUE?
Because you always remain in control of your data, it is up to you to decide when you get the upgrade. In the meantime, we will continue to support previous versions.
IS THE UPGRADE FREE?
With Verify, upgrades are always free.
WILL THE UPGRADE AFFECT ANY APIS OR THE DATA EXCHANGE WITH OUR ERP?
Optchain Verify includes additional APIs and extends the existing one. It is FULLY backward compatible. This means no disruption to your existing processes or infrastructure.
