Accounting Technician (Maternity Cover Contract)

Job Summary;

Under the authority of the Corporate Controller, the accountant has a mandate to deal with all aspects of the accounting cycle, accounts payable, accounts receivable (invoicing process, revenues), month end task and financial control of inventories. The person works together with the accounting department, purchasing department and several other departments across the country. This person is also responsible for payroll related questions from employees.


  • Complete cycle of accounts payable (invoice validation, input inside SAP, codification, approval process, issue payments by cheque and bank transfer, follow up on payments);
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers;
  • Responsible for petty cash in the plant;
  • Accounts receivable follow up with customers, invoicing process and revenue management;
  • Providing support to accounting team for month end process;
  • Follow up on open puchase order and accrual with purchase department;
  • Credit Card processing and receipt follow up;
  • Classifying the processed documents;
  • Archive accounting documents;
  • Participate in the improvement of the process;
  • Payroll resources on plant for employees (with support from payroll in Canada);
  • Perform other related duties.

Required Skills;

  • Studies in administration and accounting
  • 5 years’ experience managing accounts payable & receivable
  • Great organisation sense
  • Demonstrate productivity and good stress management
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work remotely
  • SAP B1 Knowledge would be an asset
