Limerick Operations Planner
Planning, Optel Vision
Prepares and schedules Resource Planning for the Production / Assembly department. Updates the Project Planning System with the Project Managers. Coordinates with the Production Supervisor that every customer project correspondents are linked to employee’s timesheet.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacture of all products and assemblies
Coordinate priorities and run dates of projects with Production Supervisors & Project Manager.
Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operations to meet manufacturing and shipping dates of customer projects.
Plan and schedule workflow for the production department and operation accordingly to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
Conduct weekly meetings to review projects with the Project Managers
Confer with Production Supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
Analysis production reports for project capacities.
Combine the production projects with R&D releases and coordinates them from product management at the required dates.
Coordinate the tasks to resources based on delivery times.
Plan the program, project by project and resource requirements
Keep up-to-date the project management tool (Primavera) and planning templates.
Communicate the priorities and issues to the PMO / Planning Office.
Ensure there is clear understanding of the established standards of the delivery process.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Third Level Qualification in Business Studies or equivalent in education and experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Production Planning role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word & Excel.
Experience with an ERP system is a must. Production planning system -Primavera would be an advantage.
Strong organisation and communication skills. Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English.
Good Analytical Skills
Must be able to demonstrate ability to work under pressure.
Ability to contribute in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
Must be flexible and be able to “Think outside the box”.
