Limerick Equipment Design Engineer – (Automation)
EQUIPMENT DESIGN ENGINEER – (AUTOMATION)
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Equipment Design Engineer to join our Solution Design Team in the EMEA Operations Centre in Limerick, Ireland.
The Equipment Design Engineer will work in close collaboration with our customers to properly determine their requirements and deliver a successful solution. You will work with our different multidisciplinary teams and will remain available throughout the project delivery process – Design and installation of the packaging line equipment.
Reporting to: Solution Design Team Lead
You will take a leading role in the design, development of the vision, electrical, software and automation based elements of the solution here on-site in Limerick.
As the Expert, you will liaise with customers to ensure proper understanding of customer requirements are established from the concept stage.
You will be tasked with generating documentation to GMP requirements (URS, FDS, FAT, IOQ) when required and work entirely within the client standard operating procedures (SOP) for the requested projects.
You will work with cross-functional teams – Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, Project Management & R&D teams to ensure full compliance with solution requirements while providing technical expertise to the Sales Department at URS and project quotation gate stage.
You will promote continuous improvement through the provision of feedback to the engineering team in relation to deployment experience of integrated vision and software solutions.
You will be an leading member of the wider engineering team, working to continually improve the capability of solutions .
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must have a relevant Third Level qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably in Electrical / Electronic/Mechanical or relevant discipline.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a Technical Design/ Customer Solution field, ideally coming from the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Industry, but not essential.
Working in collaboration with several multidisciplinary teams: – Mechanical, Electrical, Product, Validation, Configuration, IT, Quality Control, etc.) to ensure that the solution is supported.
Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
Effective Communication skills;Technical Writing Skills;
Demonstrate an ability to define a solution with the customer.
Must demonstrate excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, with strong attention to detail.
This position is based in Limerick, Ireland, but the candidate should be willing to travel to customer sites nationally and internationally.
